Versions 2.2.2 through 2.2.5 on the web and 1.2.2 through 1.2.5 on iOS and Android accumulate 12 important fixes: Hall of Fame MVP calculation, best trio algorithm, MVP tie notifications, Android dark mode fixes, onboarding, tab navigation after player notifications, temporary transfer notifications, and full language support in the App Store and Google Play.
In version 2.2.2, a bug was fixed in the Hall of Fame MVP calculation. Previously, all votes received by a player were being counted, when the correct behaviour is to count only the times that player actually won the MVP title. The ranking now accurately reflects who has been named MVP the most times throughout the season.
Also in 2.2.2, the best trio algorithm added two minimum conditions to ensure the result is statistically meaningful: the group must have played together at least 30% of the season's matches and an absolute minimum of 4 matches together. This prevents a trio from claiming the title after coinciding only once or twice.
An issue was resolved where MVP voting push notifications were being sent twice on iOS. Now only one notification is sent per event.
To prevent visual errors that appeared on certain Android devices with dark mode active, version 2.2.3 forced light mode across the entire app. In 2.2.5, the option to switch to dark mode on Android was permanently removed while a more robust solution is being developed.
When tapping “Invite players” and switching to WhatsApp to share the link, returning to the app would land on the dashboard instead of staying in the current section. This has been fixed: returning from another app now keeps navigation exactly where it was left.
When a new user completed onboarding without linking an existing player, the app did not automatically advance to the dashboard. From 2.2.3 onwards, the onboarding process always finishes on the dashboard, regardless of whether the user linked a player or not.
When multiple players tie in MVP votes, all of them should receive the title notification. Previously only the first tied player received it. Now it is correctly sent to all players sharing first place.
When tapping the player approval or rejection notification in the app, users were incorrectly taken to the Teams tab instead of the Players tab. This was fixed in 2.2.4.
Notifications alerting that a temporary transfer is about to expire were not being sent correctly. From 2.2.4 onwards, these notifications arrive on time when expected.
When multiple players are tied in the number of MVPs won (both in the season top and the Hall of Fame), the tiebreaker is now the number of matches played: the player with fewer matches wins, since that indicates a higher MVP-per-match average.
Version 2.2.5 is the first to include a formal language declaration for both iOS and Android. From now on, the App Store and Google Play correctly display FutBalance’s supported languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and German. This improves visibility in language-filtered searches on both stores.
The update arrives automatically on the web and via the usual update mechanism in the App Store and Google Play.
